The Position -

An opportunity currently exists for a Senior Structural Estimator, with a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and benefits (after a probationary period). The position is based in Nisku, Alberta.

The Ideal Candidate -

Candidates must have at least 5-year experience within the steel industry. The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualities:

• A team player who is self-motivated and has strong attention to detail.
• Familiar in the use of lump sum and unit rates bid methods for structural steel.
• Familiar completing material take-offs from customer provided engineered drawings or by using computer models.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and change focus as priorities change.
• Communication skills – Both written and verbal.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering technology will be considered an asset.
• Experience with Tekla Structures will be considered an asset.
