Progressive Music Studio is now hiring a friendly, fun, energetic, and self-motivated Piano and Vocal Teacher, who are currently working towards/received a diploma/degree in music. Candidates must work well with students of all ages, and comfortable teaching beginner to advanced levels of piano. Must be willing to teach online and in person.

Responsibilities:

• Create one-on-one lessons that suit the individual learning styles of each student
• Provide lessons in a fun and engaging manner
• Communicating and providing proper musical techniques
• Able to teach various styles of music.
• Communicate with parents and/or guardians on the progress of each student
• Preparing students for Royal Conservatory exams, festivals, theatre auditions, recitals, post-secondary auditions
• Attending and helping at student recitals held in December and June
• Willing to collaborate with other teachers

Qualifications:

• Level 9 RCM in piano is preferred but not required
• Currently attending/have completed post-secondary education in music
• Proficient at reading music
• Strong skills in theory
• Proficiency in guitar is an asset
