Sardis pharmacy is hiring a full-time and part-time pharmacist.

We are a community pharmacy attached to a medical clinic in Chilliwack and a Care Connect authorized pharmacy.

Our mission Sardis pharmacy is to offer exceptional patient centered care in an inclusive and professional pharmacy. Our priority is the health and wellness of our patients and are committed to the full scope of the clinical practice of pharmacy.

We are looking for a pharmacist who is very comfortable with Winrx and has excellent customer service.

Our hours of operation are 9am-5.30pm on weekdays, no weekends or holidays. This allows our team members to always be home for dinner and spend quality weekend time with friends and family.

Pharmacy Specifics:

  • Winrx pharmacy software
  • Opportunity to practice to full scope (injections, minor ailments assessments and prescribing, medication reviews, chronic disease management, immunizations etc.)
  • Pharmacy assistant team members

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, compound and dispense prescriptions.
  • Provide counselling on prescriptions, pharmaceutical products and all health-related issues, including but not limited to drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and medical professionals’ requests/issues.
  • Provide specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, or high blood pressure.
  • Perform or oversee the performance of packaging, labelling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging, and recording medications used in patient care.
  • Review prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage.
  • Demonstrate professional integrity and acting to uphold a high level of professional standard of practice.

Professional Responsibilities:

Patient Focused Care

  • Focus is on clinical services – minor ailment prescribing, injection services, practicing to full scope of practice
  • Prescription safety prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Assistant when available
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document
  • Collect relevant patient, drug and disease information
  • Identification of actual and potential drug related problems
  • Monitor medication adherence
  • Provide patient counselling for new therapy and determine patients understanding as to why they are taking the medication
  • Tailor counselling to the needs and concerns of the patient

Customer Service

  • Greet customers and patients promptly and professionally
  • Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion towards the patient and customer
  • Provide superior customer service to every person that enters our pharmacy

Technical Skills

  • Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-directed and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in British Columbia
  • Injection Certification
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in a community pharmacy
  • Knowledge of the win-rx Pharmacy Computer system is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
