Full Job Description

We are currently hiring Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for Long Term Care homes (LTC) in The Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Responsibilities and duties:

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, skin care, feeding, continence care, etc.)
• Assess and identifies changes in residents’ condition and report the findings to the Charge Nurse
• Review residents’ care plans, answer call bells
• Perform delegated and or assigned tasks and documentation under the supervision of the Charge Nurse
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the job (ex: the ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel and reach freely for extended periods, climb stairs, ability to lift 23 kg independently, ability to assist clients with standing, walking, sitting, and with mobility in a wheelchair; able to reposition clients in bed or wheelchair)

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program, or
• Nursing Student who with a minimum successful completion of year one of the program- We offer self-scheduling opportunities that fit perfectly with your school schedule, or
• Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician
• Flexible, respectful, hardworking
• Excellent punctuality and attendance

We deal with various Long Term Care Homes and we will have opportunities at different locations, travel time may vary. A minimum of 2 COVID doses is required at all LTC facilities.
