Job overview:
Are you a Registered Nurse looking to join a fun, collaborative and supportive team? Then come join our beautiful new South East location, Clifton House! We are currently hiring Casual Registered Nurses for day, evening and overnight shifts.
The Registered Nurse collaborates within the multi-disciplinary team on the delivery of quality care utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking and problem solving skills to meet resident/family needs.
Some of the primary responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and establishing standards of care and practice to provide an environment that facilitates quality resident care delivery; completing various daily audits.
- Collaborating with the resident care team to develop and maintain up-to-date resident Care Plans to meet therapeutic, restorative and rehabilitative goals of each resident utilizing MDS-RAI;
- Actively participate in team conferences;
- Providing nursing care in accordance with administrative policies, physician orders, established standards and recognized nursing principles.
- Delegate and provide supervision and direction to LPN’s and HCA’s using the Collaborative Care Model of Decision Making;
- Notifying residents’ families and/or next of kin of any changes in the residents’ health status;
- Identifying documents and follow-up any Resident/Family incidents or complaints; participation in Employee Performance Appraisal process;
- Protecting individual rights, advocate for residents and promote a culture of resident safety, administering, supervise and evaluate efficiency of medication delivery;
- Establishing and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, Physicians, other departments through on-going communications and providing teaching where required (i.e. health teaching); participation on committees as required and assuming responsibility for the day-to-day management of the unit.

Required education and experience:
· CARNA license required
· Current BLS provider CPR.
· Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing is an asset.
