Job Summary:

You are a Journeyperson Electrician interested in the oil and gas industry with a high personal commitment to safety. You will be responsible for scheduled maintenance, repair, and installation. The goal of this position is to maximize uptime, quality, and production, and have a high personal commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
• Pulls wire through conduits and holes
• Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment
• Splices, joins, and connects wire to form circuits
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety
• May perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Journeyperson Electrician from a recognized provincial authority
• Must possess experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably in a maintenance setting
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Welding experience would be an asset
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions

• This is a full time, ongoing maintenance contract with long term potential
• Camp is not provided for this project
• Transportation provided from Ft. McMurray to site daily
• $50 Living Out Allowance per day
• Shift is 14 days, 7 off, 14 nights, 7 off
• Benefits provided by CLAC
