We have an urgent need for a certified millwright in our Cobourg factory. Are you able to perform emergency and unscheduled repairs to our equipment? Do you have what it takes to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment? Are you strict about following health and safety guidelines? Are you ready to work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and troubleshoot and repair production machines as the need arises? If you are we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities:

Ensure all equipment is fixed in a timely manner utilizing your mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and welding abilities.

• Keep current with technological changes and any governmental regulation changes regarding the performance of maintenance duties.
• Monthly fire alarm testing
• Ensure on-call availability for emergency services.
• Ensures doors are locked or unlocked, turns lights on/off, electric panels are in working order as required
• Contacts appropriate outside maintenance or suppliers as required
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Maintain standard of good housekeeping in the shop and on the plant floor.
• Maintain in good condition company and personal tools
• Maintain Preventative Maintenance Programs
• Ensure that the ISO quality standards, Company quality requirements and individual customer quality requirements are maintained.
• Communicate and provide support and expert opinion to management, COO, Purchasing and Shift Supervisor as needed.
• Hourly paid position based on previous experience and/or level of Schooling
• Straight Friday - Saturday - Sunday shift - work 36hrs - be punctual & attend all shifts and get paid for 40hrs
