Newrest Canada is recruiting Ramp Officer for its Unit in Mississauga.

Newrest is looking for a Ramp Safety Manager to be part of the team for our unit. This individual will be responsible for enforcing safety policies, procedures and working conditions that affect the employee on the job. Direct and coordinate activities to provide a safe environment for employees while maintaining fast and efficient services.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee recruiting and placement efforts to ensure staffing levels meet requirements and exercise best possible effort to follow any instructions provided by Customer or their designee regarding standards, procedures and practices.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed;
• Guide employees in the execution of their duties;
• Prepare flight reports, do the drivers briefing before flight;
• Observe flights operations, ensure employee safety and security in the work context and the application of procedures and report any violations;
• Investigate and complete incidents / accidents documentation;
• Ensure the safe use of ramp equipment and report irregularities;
• Ensure the application of our disciplinary policies, identify problematic situations and implement the necessary corrections;
• Ensure good business relationships with customers on tracks (stops, officers edges, etc)
• Reorganize the actions of drivers based on requested modifications by the company (Presta change, delay, machines crossover;

Profile:

• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail
• Ability to read, fluently speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess valid Driver License
• Must be able to pass airport security clearance and test
• Knowledge of airport safety regulations preferred
