Industrial Electrician Job at Saint-Gobain
The Industrial Electrician will assist with the development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) projects, production, processing methods and controls in a manner consistent with CertainTeed Insulation, Mission, Values and Objectives. Industrial electrician will be responsible for routine preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance procedures. He will also be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Reports to Electrical Engineer and or Maintenance Manager
- Must be familiar with industrial and electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Practice and promote safety before starting tasks, performing authorized activates and utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drive system, AC/DC motors, electrical power distribution, protection systems, lighting systems as needed and coordinate problems and repairs through supervisor.
- Repair, replace and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuits breakers, motors, heating units, switches, defective writing etc.
- Troubleshoot repair, replace PLC’s, Servo and Variable Frequency Drives and related electronic hardware.
- Identifies and designs process improvements for inefficiencies and potential electrical problems.
- Coordinating with contractors and engineer during electrical project and have ability to adapt changing priorities and working conditions.
- Maintain electrical equipment’s, parts and supplies inventories by checking stocks to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed equipment’s parts, and supplies.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to provide troubleshooting and repair services when needed.
Additional Description
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED (List specific education, experience, training, certification, proficiencies needed. Must support the essential duties and serve as primary criteria for selecting and rejecting candidates.)
- Completed a four or five-year industrial electrician apprenticeship program.
- Holds a Trade certification or Real Seal in industrial electrical work.
· Min 2 to 4 years of experience as a licensed industrial electrician in industrial/manufacturing industry. · Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22).
- Flexible, open-minded team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Should have strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving capabilities to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing and team environments.
