This position is accountable for the technical support of SECURE’s field personnel for business, sales support in areas of chemical selection, application, technical writing, training, internal and external audits. The role will act as a Technical resource to the SECURE Production Chemical area sales team in meeting its operational and sales goals.

This position will also support and mentor the Sales Team with development, project management, technical writing, problem solving, internal and external audit support. This will require travel to the field for support of projects within Canada.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Technical Services: acts as a technical sales resource to Secure clients and Account Managers for all products distributed/supported by the Account Managers.
• Technical case history development: support the Production Chemical team marketing efforts through transposing product/service successes into case histories/testimonials.
• Build and maintain customer intimacy, by helping support Secure Account Managers write technical reports/applications for our various customers.
• A resource to support Account Managers in SOP usage and training on field applications for daily job activities.
• A resource in delivering solutions to the customer through Lunch & Learns, reports, sale meeting and presentations presented to our customers.
• Technical support for the Secure customer audit process in obtaining new business- field data sampling, technical writing of lab results and presentation to the customer.
• Technical support to the internal customer audit process in reviewing present practices and monitoring results of Secure’s customers.
• Technical support: provides report reviews for sales support, presentation development, proposal development, and other support services as required.
• Support new product development in field trials to resolve application issues and developing data to support marketing of new opportunities for Secure.
• Identify product line deficiencies for continual improvements.
• Foster a team-environment by sharing knowledge and information.
• Openly discuss the opportunities to improve the performance of the SECURE Technical group.

  • Flow assurance
  • Emulsion separation
  • Corrosion Mitigation
  • Oil and Gas treating facilities

Preferred Education, Training, Experience:

• University, Technical school, or community college diploma in Engineering or Chemistry is preferred
• Minimum 5 years Technical support experience with production chemical applications
• Understanding of Production Chemical, Drilling , Fracturing, and Cementing processes is an asset
• Oil and gas production operating experience is an asset
• Process/field experience is an asset
