We are currently recruiting for a full-time Carpenter in our Restoration Division. This position will be based out of the office in Bolton but will require travel in/around the GTA. The successful candidate would describe themselves as a “Jack / Jill of All Trades”.

THE POSITION

• Assisting with framing and finish carpentry
• Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster
• Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels
• Marking positions for pipe connections and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
• Surface preparation work for tile setting (e.g. removing old grout and cement and cleaning and levelling surfaces)
• Laying tiles in accordance with tiling plan, cutting tiles where necessary
• Grouting gaps between tiles
• Painting - touch ups, small projects
• Reading drawings and blue prints to understand scope of work
• Working with customers and clients to understand their needs

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Able to deal with customers and clients in a respectful manner
• Strong work ethic with an attention to detail
• Reliable and flexible
• Able to take direction and work well with others
• Able to meet the physical demands of this job
• Firm understanding of job safety
• Experience with excel an asset
• Access to own tools is an asset
• Access to own vehicle is required and a clean driving record is required
