Full Time Pharmacy Assistant

Wage: $20 per hour

Schedule: Tues-Sat 10am - 6pm

Location: 908 Commercial Drive Vancouver

Robin's Pharmacy is a permanent fixture in Vancouver's Commercial Drive Business community.

Located on the North End of this iconic Vancouver Community, Robin's Pharmacy is the "go-to" partner for local Mental Health Teams as well as the Kettle Friendship Society.

We enjoy very close relationships with our patients and work closely with mental health teams, nearby clinics (REACH and Carepoint) as well as the Kettle Friendship Drop-in Centre.

The successful candidates should be highly motivated to provide high energy interactions for the local community as well as detailed drug therapy administration for the mental health team physicians.

We are looking for a caring and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to provide care for mental health and addictions patients in the Commercial Drive Community of Vancouver. The successful candidate should be highly motivated to provide care and support for a vulnerable population that allows them to stay in their community.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant with the following qualities:

• Patience, compassion and strong listening skill
• Clear communication and a positive attitude
• Excellent time management capabilities, flexibility and ability to work independently
• Patient focused including going above and beyond to make positive contributions to the community in a healthcare setting
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently for walk-in patients
• Ordering, receiving, and stocking prescription and front store inventory
• Blister packing for complex patients
• Answering telephones with courtesy and professionalism
• Processing prescriptions on Kroll pharmacy software
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized pharmacy dispensary and front store
• Dispensing Medication to walk-in patients

Education and Experience:

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma preferred
• Patient triage and management
• Compliance Packaging experience – blister pack/jones pack filling
• Pharmacy computer system experience – KROLL preferred
• Physician communication and care team support
• Synmed and/or Automed experience preferred

Schedule & Compensation:

• Fulltime (40 hours per week)
• Hours: 10:00 am to 6pm
• $20.00 per hour
