United Sport & Cycle’s Marketing Team is seeking a Full-Time Front-End Developer who is passionate about their career and sports too!

This person reports directly to the Operations Manager and will have the support of a graphic designer, ecommerce coordinator and a photographer/videographer.

As a member of the Marketing team, the Front-End Developer is the lead for website experience design. We are looking for someone with ingenuity and someone who’s a natural problem solver. This individual will be instrumental in planning as well as creating new online user experiences.

The role is to improve our eCommerce experience and help customers connect to our great products and services. This is an opportunity to make an impact with a well-known brand and be part of an incredibly fun and engaging workplace.

Who YOU are:

• An excellent communicator with the ability to development and maintain effective back-end / front-end cohesion for the purpose of establishing a consistent United customer experience.
• Innovative developer and a natural problem solver with an awareness of emerging technology tends.
• Excited to champion an eCommerce site adhering to QA/QC standards emphasizing a reliable and error-free deployment.
• Able to relay and implement UX best practices reporting on performance metrics and evaluating the success of new and established features.
• Able to work within a dynamic team atmosphere collaborating and providing guidance in developing ideas for website content and promotions.
• Able to support user experience updates related to promotions and activities.
• Experienced with Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Proficient in JavaScript (jQuery), HTML and CSS.
• Experience with Shopify (asset)
• Experience with Ruby (asset)
• You possess a post-secondary education in web design and development.
• You have a passion for sports and/or bikes – riding, playing or being a super fan!
• You are looking to be a key member of a team; not just a ‘job’
