About the Team

Proto’s team is extremely global with 80% BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Colour) and 50% female members working across 15+ countries. We’re a remote team of self-starting and entrepreneurial machine learning engineers, SaaS sales professionals, and digital nomads. Our management operates established processes for cross-cultural and timezone collaboration while limiting zoom calls to an hour a day as much as possible.

Responsibilities

• Financial planning and analysis. Work with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies and plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Financial reporting. Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee internal controls and compliance. Ensure that the organization is in compliance with financial and accounting regulations, and establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Strategic planning. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
• Risk management. Responsible for identifying and managing financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
