Business Development Executive – Halifax
Business to Business Sales
Based in our Halifax office, you will proactively prospect and engage business owners and benefit plan administrators about our group health benefit plans and business membership to Merit Nova Scotia. You will deal directly with decision makers in the construction industry, in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. You do not have to be a licensed insurance agent but a commitment or desire to become one, with our support, is desired.
You are perpetually in motion, initiative-taking and accountable for your sales cycle and your results; proactively driving sales opportunities forward with the backing of an excellent group health benefit plan and expanded portfolio at your disposal. You never let an opportunity slip. You are a hunter, not a farmer. You get engaged with your customers and network with prospects easily.
Responsibilities
- Driving new group health benefits and group retirement plans
- Providing custom offerings when the situation makes sense
- Proactively prospecting new client opportunities
- Secure appointments and meetings with prospective company owners and decision makers
- Creatively address customer issues and suggest solutions and options
- Consistently over-achieve sales targets and key performance indicators
