Yard Worker Job at HARBOUR LINK CONTAINER SERVICES INC.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Container Yard Coordinator to join our Yard Operations team, reporting to the Manager of Container Yard Operations. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
JOB DUTIES
· Verify the acceptance and release of containers entering and leaving the terminal
· Perform and update container interchanges into the Company’s computerized terminal management software
· Inspect containers as they enter and leave the terminal
· Coordinate truck pickups and arrivals
· Respond to email and phone calls
· Sweep / wash the inside of containers
· Monitor refrigerated container temperatures
· Prepare inventory reports as required
· Maintaining cleanliness of yard
QUALIFICATIONS
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Previous customer service experience would be an asset
- Fork lift experience would be an asset
TRAINING PROVIDED
· Dangerous Goods training
HOURS
Full – time Monday to Friday, rotating shift
