SUMMARY

We are looking to add to our Installation team. Typical activities include using power tools, taking measurements, reviewing drawings, fixing units, and cleaning of the job site. Starline Windows is committed to the Health and Safety of all team members, new hires must always adhere to safety policies.

Essential Skills: dexterity, physical fitness, stamina, attention to safety, the ability to work at heights, communication, teamwork, and customer focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities;

• Communicate with lead-hand, co-workers, and supervisors
• Operate site equipment such as, zoom booms, and other lifts
• Load and unload windows/patio doors, supplies, tools etc.
• Use and maintain all applicable PPE as required by Starline Windows and/or site.

· Diagnose and resolved complex installation issues.

· Install parts in specified relationship to each other.

· Assist in the Installations in residential and commercial settings.

· Work at different heights with ladders, scaffolds, man lifts etc.

· Apply latest building codes, industry standards and company policies

· Ensure the personal safety of yourself, co-workers and public by adhering to all company policies and provincial regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· (Optional) High school diploma or equivalent trades certification.

· Relevant experience in a construction field

· high degree of accuracy.

· Strong work ethic

· positive team attitude

The following would be considered an asset but not required:

· WHMIS, Fall Protection, Forklift Certification, Zoom Boom Certification, Swing Stage Awareness, Bosun Chair

· Able to read blueprints and shop drawings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Outdoors in all temperatures, working at heights, safety sensitive work sites. Physically demanding: heavy lifting, standing, bending, kneeling. Work site – Construction which requires full PPE: hard hats, CSA steel toed boots, safety glasses/goggles, high viz & fall protection equipment.
