IMMEDIATE HIRING – WAREHOUSE WORKER, Chilliwack Mill

Trouw Nutrition is hiring… a Warehouse Worker to join our team in Chilliwack, BC.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, the Warehouse Worker coordinates incoming shipments, processes documents verifying product and quantities; storing, rotating, monitoring and counting inventory; organizing and maintaining the warehouse, yard and store. Must be able to lift 25 kg bags of feed and perform other duties as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure finished feed is sampled and inspected. Complete log documentation and food safety documentation
• Constant quality awareness: Complete bags with correct product tag; Verify correct Lot #s are pulled for order requirements (sampling process)
• Ensure accurate bag weight/run size is produced
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Adhere to the safety and food safety requirements per the company protocols
• Ensure orders are completed accurately to customer’s ordered requirements

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

• Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability and availability to work rotational shifts and overtime as required
• Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail. Willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervision

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Full Time; Permanent,

GOOD TO KNOW

• Must be able to lift 25kg; and ability to regularly bend and twist.
• Occasional requirement to work at heights, open and close lids
• Often exposed to loud sounds, distracting noise levels, and dusty environment.
• Must possess a valid class 5 license
• Have training and forklift driving experience (an asset).
