Warehouse Associate (Day Shift) – CALEDON Job at UPS CANADA
Job Summary
This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. He/She may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
- Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent
- Work Location: 12424 Dixie Road Caledon ON
- Workdays: Sunday to Thursday
- Shift Start: 12pm-5pm. Shift averages 3-5 hours a day, but hours, start times/finish times may vary with operational need. Flexibility required.
- Pay rate: Pay rate of $17.80/hr (base rate of $15.55 + an hourly bonus of $2.25).
Responsibilities:
- Learns and properly executes UPS package handling methods.
- Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
- Warehouse experience - Preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay rate of $17.80/hr. (base rate of $15.55/hr. + an hourly bonus of $2.25).
- Automatic pay rate progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement (top rate: $26.79/hr. after 48 months).
- Tuition reimbursement of up to $3,000 per semester.
