Ginger Desk has ongoing recruiting opportunities for highly motivated and resourceful Candian-based virtual medical office assistants to work remotely from the comfort of their own homes in the following timezones; PST and EST, who are keen problem solvers and critical thinkers to join our dynamic team of values-based and driven Virtual Medical Office Assistants.

*Please note: This role will start between February 21- March 1, 2023.

Job Description:

- Overseeing administrative and practice details of multiple physicians and health practitioners at once
- Scheduling, and billing using an electronic medical records software
- Direct to insurance billing through Telus eClaims
- Returning phone calls to clients
- Completing data entry projects
- Scheduling tasks and managing other appointments
- Filtering emails, organizing and tagging emails in folders, and responding to inquiries throughout the day as required, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- Sending out laboratory requisitions, and referrals by electronic fax
- Communicating with pharmacy staff about prescriptions
- Responding to tasks and emails consistently and quickly
- Taking direction from Virtual Office Manager
- Other tasks as needed

Virtual Patient Care Coordinator Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. College Diploma in Medical Office Administration preferred but not required
- 3+ years of working as a Patient Care Coordinator, Medical Office Assistant, or Executive Assistant preferred
- Experience with Jane app or other medical electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) software preferred, but not required
- Experience with direct insurance billing
- Experience with motor vehicle accident claims (ICBC/HCAI/WSIB) is an asset but not required
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Must be able to work remotely and have a strong, consistent internet connection and a quiet space to make outgoing phone calls (technology and equipment provided)
- Must be available to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:30 pm
