Transport Coordinator, Distribution Center PA&A Job at BRP

The Transport Coordinator distribution center PA&A participates in the execution of the inbound-outbound transport strategy for parts, accessories and apparel.
He makes sure to provide visibility to all collaborators and stakeholders in the supply chain on the daily progress of transport activities.
He prioritizes the multiple requests from different levels of the company and follows up on them according to their degree of importance and urgency.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Plan daily the number of truck departures and ensure follow-up.
Communicate to carriers the needs for trailers and/or containers as well as departure times and monitor their performance.
Follow the evolution of the service provider's loading plans.
Ensure the accurate quantity of trailers and containers at the distribution center and make the necessary adjustments as needed, communicate exceptions and deviations from the initial plan.
Collaborate with the members of the transportation department and ensure the execution of the transportation plan as required and make the necessary adjustments as needed.
Act as a resource person for the transportation department stationed at the distribution center, and act as a backup if needed.
Control the inventory of trailers and containers in real-time.
Participate in improvement initiatives, identify opportunities, monitor indicators and participate in action plans
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, engineering or a relevant field
3 years of experience in a similar position and/or in similar industries (automotive, consumer goods, spare parts, etc.)
Experience working in a third-party logistics model
Good knowledge of the SAP environment and/or JDA and other transport software
Proven ability to operationalize the strategic plan with laser focus, in order to achieve the profitability objectives desired by the company
Ability to communicate effectively and share information effectively, including key leaders
Considered a dynamic person, with an excellent understanding of the supply chain and its multiple stakeholders.
Organized and always aware of priorities.
Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions, to think laterally and to propose solutions to transportation issues in a growth context.

Presence 4 days a week at the workplace, in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Atypical work schedule, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
