We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Tool and Die/Mould Maker to add value to our Operations Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and modifying dies, production fixtures, and related tooling.

Key Roles and Responsibilities will include:

• Repair, maintain and modify dies, production fixtures, related tooling and aids as follows;
• Diagnose and correct poor die performance in press
• Construct, modify and assemble mechanical devices and/or components from detailed drawings and/or instructions
• Repair or modify defective moulds
• Assist Production Engineering in designated areas
• Maintain PM system
• Maintain moulds in good working order
• Follow safety procedures and comply with all related safety and security regulations; Take actions to correct unsafe work habits; Operate equipment safely; Report and/or correct unsafe work conditions as appropriate
• Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with established housekeeping standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical training
• Licensed mould maker
• Minimum of three years related experience
• Must be able to use all equipment in shop to produce machined parts
• Must be able to weld on tool surfaces
• Must be able to perform spotting on tools
