What You'll Do
The Team Leader, Corporate Services is responsible for:
Team Supervision
- Provide day to day support and supervision of the team including scheduling, monitoring performance, managing the queue and ensuring customer service levels are met, in collaboration with Operations leadership.
- Supervise team members including managing and assigning work flows, scheduling breaks, vacation and participating in or performing annual performance reviews.
- Provide training to new employees as well as identifying and delivering additional training to grow current employee skillset.
- Lead, coach and support team members to ensure high quality work and customer service as well as successful change outcomes.
- Writing of reference documents to be used as work tools by the team.
Operations
- Participating/Leading the implementation new strategies to improve the productivity of the operations.
- Working with the IT support to make sure that the tools used are appropriate and optimal
- Management of special or more complex files.
- Gather, document and share (where appropriate) comments from client, implement improvements to operational processes and follow-up with client.
- Answering phone calls from clients: answering questions, providing needed information, explaining the different services offered and related fees.
- Provide support to clients on our online system.
- Completing requests and orders from clients.
- Taking care of requests from our clients involving a good knowledge of the various authorities’ requirements.
- Answering to specific questions asked by clients and by employees involving a good knowledge of the various authorities’ requirements.
Position Requirements:
- Collegial diploma in Paralegal Technology or Certificate in Law plus 5+ years’ experience as a paralegal in corporate services/due diligence
- Bilingual (French & English, written and spoken)
- Having a good knowledge of the various data bases on the Internet used to perform the searches and to obtain the required documents
- Having a good knowledge of the rules/requirements/turnaround time of provincial and federal governments as well as nationwide and foreign authorities
- Having a general knowledge of services offered by other departments and providing support when needed
- Human resources skills
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Autonomous, well organized, reliable, thoroughness
