Talent Sourcing Specialist Job at BIS Safety Software
BIS Safety Software is a fast-paced, high-growth software company providing solutions for the safety industry. We are expanding our team and seeking a full-time Talent Sourcing Specialist to join our People and Culture department.
The successful candidate will focus on attracting top talent into our talent pools, building and maintaining talent pipelines of great people who would be an amazing fit for our team. And while this will be your primary focus, you will also be involved in a variety of other related People and Culture activities.
This role is an in-person position in our Sherwood Park office.
Our ideal candidate for this position is:
- Proficient with the use of recruiting sourcing tools and practices to identify prospective candidates (e.g. LinkedIn, Boolean search, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), or CRM data mining, Job board resume/CV databases)
- Able to demonstrate an ability to network and source on social media, with knowledge on converting candidates into applicants and strong sales orientation.
- Advanced with their computing skills, including Microsoft office skills, social media, etc.
- Highly organised with an ability to balance workload and manage competing priorities
- A superior written and verbal communicator
- Skilled at working professionally, effectively, and collaboratively with others
- Excellent with their attention to detail, organizational skills, and a team-first mentality
- A great listener and problem-solver
- Someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive and loves to share ideas for improvement
- A self-starter with the ability to handle a diverse workload
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Building proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for priority business areas
- Tailoring the approach to prospective candidates to meet the needs of each specific position by adapting key messages and information
- Engaging talent and converting passive or non-job seekers into active candidates for current or future vacancies
- Identifying qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g. Boolean search strings) online and through social media
- Crafting and sending recruitment emails and related communication such as referral emails, internal mobility, social media posts, etc.
- Maintaining candidate database and record contact logs
- Searching for and communicating with past applicants about new job opportunities
- Measuring conversion rates and effectiveness across the sourcing process, from converting passive candidates to applicants, interview invites, offers and hires
- Supporting the People and Culture team with administrative needs related to interview scheduling, candidate/business queries, and reporting
Qualifications:
- Ideally 1 year of experience in a Talent Acquisition role, with an emphasis on outbound sourcing of candidate
- 1+ year of experience in Human Resources
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources or similar field is considered an asset
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint)
