Position Overview

Voyago's Paratransit Drivers provide superior customer service and work closely with individuals with special needs. Drivers are required to aid passengers boarding the bus, maneuvering wheelchairs, fastening Q-Straint belts, lifting portable assistive devices, and assisting ambulatory passengers. The Paratransit Driver ensures all passengers, devices and mobility aids are restrained and secure as well as provide passengers with information on fares, schedules, and stops. A manifest is provided daily and Drivers are required to have a solid geographical knowledge of the City of London to ensure efficient routing.

We currently have 4 part time shift packages we are looking to fill.

Wednesday 0715-1815, Saturday 0615-1515 = 20 hours

Sunday 1500-2115, Friday 1600-2245, Saturday 1600-2315 = 20 hours

Tuesday 1600-2245, Wednesday 1600-2245, Saturday 0715-1615 = 22.5 hours

Monday 1600-2245, Tuesday 1600-2245, Thursday 1600-2245 = 20.25 hours

Requirements

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Holds a valid G, B, E, C, or F Licence (FREE licence upgrade provided at no cost to the candidate).
• Must have a clean drivers abstract and obtain a recent copy for a driver file.
• Must have clear Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Display safe and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to work independently.
• Have a sound knowledge of the City of London and be capable of planning own routing
• Available to work a variety of shifts evenings, weekends, holidays
• Must have own transportation to work
• Experience with wheelchairs and/or Q‐straints is an asset
• Must have minimum 2 Covid-19 vaccinations
