What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
- This position is responsible for the tactical implementation (6 months out) of creative store design and store experience projects. These projects contribute to improving brand perception and enhancing customer experience in order to achieve corporate objectives
- Project Management of construction related to store design projects
- Supports in the day-today project monitoring of external design/signage vendors to ensure that design projects and/or components are delivered on time and on budget
- Reviews the drawing sets to ensure the design aspects and finishes of all store plans are accurate
- Assists in the design, signage and store experience (e.g., Mood, IVC) vendor performance and costs; recommends vendor review if required
- Assists the Store Design manager on walk-throughs and inspections, on new, relocated or renovated stores to ensure all elements are installed as per plan and to our design standards. Addresses any deficiencies with the assigned Vendor(s), correction of any issues and sign off of the store design elements. (Travel will apply)
- Verifies that design components of construction budgets are within plan parameters; responsible for processing documentation to Finance/Property Development as needed (e.g., unbudgeted capital requests, recommend changes based on forecast); assists the investigating and resolving invoicing or billing issues with vendors or General Contractors, ensure that payables accurate and up to date
What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:
- Minimum (two) 2 years in a commercial construction/design environment; familiar with blueprints and floor plans with the ability to read and interpret requirements as pertaining to store design
- Post-secondary education in Design or Marketing preferred
- Advanced computer skills in Excel, Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, and Photoshop
- Strong project management skills and ability to develop and maintain critical paths as well as understand and apply principles of project management
- Strong understanding of, and passion for fashion, design and home décor
