Server/Manager Job at MIC Canadian Eatery & Whisky Pub
M.I.C. has been a local staple since 2010 - offering authentic Canadian service and creative dishes from Canada and around the world. We are looking for an exuberant, professional and positive individual to join our team!
This is a hybrid position for an experienced server or bartender to gain management experience in a high volume restaurant! Time would be split between working as a server/bartender and as a duty manager.
This position is suited for a young and ambitious server who is looking to progress in their careers or learn new skills that can be helpful in a variety of careers down the road.
Duty Manager tasks include:
- Ensuring that lunch and dinner service go off without a hitch - troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the day.
- Communicating with the kitchen supervisors and expediting food to our guests.
- Managing labour costs by managing staff member's duties and cutting hours as needed.
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the property at all times
- Balancing the server's reeds with system sales and payments.
- Ensuring that the kitchen is clean and secure, then setting the alarm and locking up the premise.
