Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a full-time Senior Quality Assurance Analyst. To succeed in this role, you must have experience managing QA teams or junior QA members and in-depth working knowledge of Selenium, Appium, XCode, and Android Studio to name a few. With scripting language experience and code versioning tools. You have experience in both manual and automation methodologies and practices. Strong communication skills are key for this role! You will be reporting to the Product QA Lead, and working closely with a team of talented engineers, developers, and designers.

Our ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, the ability to test products according to design requirements with a keen eye for details and the ability to spot issues that others may miss. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and excel at managing multiple projects at once. You are a strong team player with a thirst for learning, a collaborative spirit, and a positive can-do attitude!

What You’ll Do

The core responsibilities for this role revolves around all aspects of testing Nanoleaf’s prototype and production hardware and software products.

Responsibilities:

• Product usability testing

• Test case automation and test harness development

• Contributing to product UX through test case generation during design and development

• Leading test design, test execution, and automation development

• Reproducing customer issues for products in production

• Interfacing with technical development team

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with software quality assurance

• Degree or Diploma in relevant field or equivalent experience

• Experience managing QA teams or junior QA members

• Expertise in developing Automation Tools for Embedded Software Systems.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Solid communication skills

• Experience testing in Embedded, Web and Mobile applications

• Good experience in API testing and UI testing

• Experience with automated testing methodologies and practices

• Test Automation Scripting / Execution / Framework Development

• Experience with code versioning tools (Git)

• Strong application debugging skills

• Experience with a scripting language, Python, Java, Bash, C and C++

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology

• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines

• Creative problem solving, quality awareness and driven to have an impact at Nanoleaf

This role will require you to work collaboratively in the office (Toronto HQ) once a week

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with IoT, Networking

• Experience working with Linux systems

• Experience in QA within pre-production projects and prototyping phases
