Scope of Work:

Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Senior Construction Manager will be responsible to fulfill the Case and Archadeck Operating System Objectives. Build projects to plan, specification, and standards, on time and on budget. Proactively learns new ways of doing things to adapt to changes in the company, increase customer satisfaction, and grow professionally.

To be successful we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to establish relationships with other trades, subcontracts, suppliers, and customers. You will take assigned projects from post-sale, to debugging, to completion and will be responsible for “customer satisfaction”, coordinating labor, materials, subcontractors, and lead carpenters retained by the company.

As Senior Construction Manager you will also be working with customers, lead carpenters, subcontractors, suppliers, and building departments to guarantee a fair, consistent, and professional treatment of all involved. This includes detailed and efficient scheduling of material, labor, subcontractors, and equipment before and after the project.

Responsibilities:

• Updates jobs progress using the Online Job Scheduling board.
• Debugs the Construction Plans Documentation upon its completion.
• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Assist with material takeoffs to ensure completeness and match specifications.
• Meets with carpenters to review the Carpenter’s Package.

• Conducts Pre-construction Conference: Uses checklist to cover job critical communication items, the plans, and contract; to officially complete the transfer of authority and expectation from sales to production.
• Analyzes prioritizes, coordinates, and supervises job site operations and procedures such as material deliveries and flow, subcontractor scheduling, and safety.
• Plans job site progress and initiates cost reduction programs.
• Keeps job records and insures completeness, accuracy, placement, and timeliness including timecards, communication forms, reports, permits, Checklist, and Customer Signoff.
• Protects the owners' property by locking up daily, removing and locking exterior ladders.
• Addendum and Change Orders priced, written, signed, and collected.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience running all aspects of residential or deck construction
• Familiar with estimating, scheduling, subcontract coordination, and material takeoffs
• Excellent time management skills
• Very strong organizational skills to permit effective work on multiple projects concurrently
• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline is a plus
• Ability to communicate in an effective way to all stakeholders
• Understanding the concepts of how technology works and encompasses the 'utilization' of such modern technology for the purpose of enhancing productivity and efficiency
