Mister Safety Shoes is a growing specialty retailer in the field of safety footwear and work clothing. We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to lead the team of our newest location that is opening up in Belleville!

What will you learn?

We offer an extensive training program to help you understand what footwear works well in what environment and how the other products that we sell can enhance our customers comfort & safety during their workday; all you need to do is bring the right can do attitude!

The administrative requirements are very minimal since we want all our managers to be on the sales floor. You will spend about 80% of your time on the salesfloor either actively selling, training, or coaching & mentoring.

What you bring:

• A minimum of 2 years of store/people management experience would be preferred.
• Post-secondary education in hospitality, business, or other related education would be

considered an asset

• Industry experience would be considered an asset.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Experience with people management including people management and recruitment/training.
• Strong Business Acumen
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with MSS employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships while motivating to achieve success and create high-performance team
• Ability to work through complex conflicts to achieve resolution
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handles multiple tasks, and performs duties with a sense of urgency
• Flexibility to work shifts within retail hours of operation
• Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel
• Physical requirements include standing for up to eight hours, lifting 50 lbs. with assistance, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and climbing ladders up to ten (10) feet in height.
