As the Regional Director of Quality Care for Alberta, you are responsible for full compliance with licensing and audits standards, leading quality care improvement projects to drive quality resident care outcomes for operations in Alberta.
Responsibilities
Analyze current seniors care, documentation, and operational best practices to understand areas of excellence and identify areas for improvement
Research and compile evidence-based data through analyzing current practices and seniors’ healthcare standards
Present recommendations to enhance current seniors care, documentation, and operational best practices to leadership
Collaborate with leadership to develop enhanced seniors care best practices, standards, and policies
Design and implement strategies to enhance seniors care, best practices, standards, and policies
Assist with onboarding new quality care team members through learning management system, Surge Learning
Coach and support general managers to assist with the delivery and engagement of Surge learning
Develop and implement quality assurance reviews and action plans for each site
Evaluate outcomes of best practices at each site and evolve seniors care, documentation, and operational practices as required
Participate in business operations reviews, deliver on site performance, and quality care metrics
Maintain knowledge of private and public healthcare provisions and legislation in Alberta
Raise awareness of Optima Living in the community
Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in administrative clinical leadership
Experience in seniors housing or residential care setting is preferred
Completion of accredited nursing education program is required
Registered and in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required
Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion
Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, and operational partners
Superior oral and written communication skills including proper spelling, grammar and punctuation for complex documentation, with attention to detail and accuracy
Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle multi-site requests
Strong computer literacy and effective working skills of Microsoft Suite, including Teams
Flexibility to work overtime when required
Ability to travel within Alberta when required
