Location: Cassidy

The core functions of this position are:

• Manage warehouse operations and processes.
• Oversee receiving and inventory control, order-processing, picking, and pallet-building, shipping, inventory management, and documentation.
• Optimize efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space.
• Monitor loss prevention, damages and shrink.
• Utilize a warehouse management system (WMS) or other systems to track and analyze processes and performance.
• Manage staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and work to optimize performance.
• Weekly scheduling and holiday/days off management.
• Conduct training and onboarding of new team members as needed.
• Follow and enforce safety and other company policies and procedures.
• Develop cost reduction initiatives.
• Flexibility in schedule to provide coverage for key warehouse roles; lead hand, inventory control, etc.
• Work and communicate closely with the procurement team and transport terminal manager.

The ideal candidate must exhibit the following qualifications and skills:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities.
• Experience working with senior management at a high-level capacity.
• Ability to report KPI and other reports in a timely fashion.
• Ability to accurately analyze information
• Able to lift 50 lbs. box.
• Ability to work with staff in other areas of the company.
• Comfortable delivering in-person written and oral feedback.
• Ability to manage team members effectively and respectfully.
• Very adept with MS Office suite – i.e., email, Word, Excel, etc.
• Experience with warehouse management system (WMS) software.
• Experience with Aspen Canopy is an asset.

The ideal candidate must exhibit the following education and experience:

• 5-year minimum warehouse experience.
• 3+ years experience within a grocery and warehouse lead role.
• Experience in onboarding, training, disciplinary, and performance management.
• Current forklift and power jack certification.
• Detail-oriented.
