Records Management Specialist will assist with the creation, maintenance and disposition of records, as well as provide image-based quality review of imaged records for compliance and risk management.
Specialist will create new files, ensure file integrity, track active/inactive records, apply appropriate scheduled dates to the records, and ensure final disposition takes place whether destruction or permanent.

Records Management Specialist will assist with the creation, maintenance and disposition of records, as well as provide image-based quality review of imaged records for compliance and risk management.
Specialist will create new files, ensure file integrity, track active/inactive records, apply appropriate scheduled dates to the records, and ensure final disposition takes place whether destruction or permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting Record Retention and Disposition Schedules to determine appropriate retention and final disposition
- Paper and electronic filing; and creating new files as required
- Receiving, sorting and document preparation of incoming correspondence
- Retrieval of routine requests for records
- Use of electronic systems associated with updating and control of active and inactive records
- Reviewing files and inventory lists for accuracy
- Assisting with record conversion projects
- Lifting boxes up to 30lbs
- Must hold a high school diploma
- 2-3 years in Records Management
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills
- Basic knowledge of Government of Alberta Records Management legislation, regulation, policies and procedures
- Familiarity of Records Management/Document Management Software
- Familiar with interpreting and applying records retention and disposition schedules
