We are currently seeking a proposal writer to join our team in Mississauga. The proposal writer's responsibilities include gathering information, formatting the information according to the company's policies, obtaining supervisor approval, and sending the proposal to the appropriate source.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner
• Preparing, organizing and maintaining proposal templates
• Writing editing and/or customizing proposal content, as required
• Reviewing potential opportunities for contract acquisitions
• Researching and sourcing for online solicitations, aligning with our service offerings
• Collecting data, as required for the proposal development process
• Providing input in the creation of strategies
• Attending meetings with BD personnel and cross disciplined technical experts
• Prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Editing and revising proposals according to feedback
• Maintaining consistency by following company policies

Required Education, Licensure, and Experience

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related capacity

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of word processing software
• Excellent computer and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Good strategic planning abilities

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office setting
