Production Scheduler Job at Can Art Aluminum
Position:
Production Scheduler
Job Duties:
- Review the previous day’s production to identify the gaps between actual vs scheduled production and track % adherence to schedule
- Create press schedules in Epics based on scheduling rules
- Schedule the number of available die copies required on record those die #s on the work orders and cover page
- Attached all quality alerts and inspection sheets to work orders
- Go to the shop floor as frequently as necessary to confirm with press operators/supervisors to ensure work orders and schedules are at all presses
- Interface with die shop to ensure that dies are at the presses as per the released schedules
- Receive billets in EPICs (confirm the accuracy of each billet load and enter the packing slip details into EPICS)
- Assist in monthly inventory counts
- Confirm on a daily basis the billets on hand to ensure that schedule can be fulfilled as necessary
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Post secondary education and minimum 3 - years of relevant work experience
- This role requires excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Time management
- Proficiency in various computer applications such as word, excel, ERP system
