The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is an Acciona-Ghella general partnership to deliver a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. Once complete, it will provide fast, frequent and convenient service to B.C.’s second largest jobs center, world-class health services, an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities
The Logistics Clerk is responsible for the completion of general duties and responsibilities related to logistics planning and operations for the assigned construction site.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates, directs, assists, and completes the logistics operations and the related paperwork requirements for the assigned construction site.
- Acts as the point of contact between office, site and vendors regarding project materials, arranging vendor deliveries to the construction site.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods; inspect and verify incoming materials against invoices and other documents, record shortages, damages or discrepancies.
- Work closely with the construction team to coordinate with the Warehouse and make sure the material request are fulfilled on time and in an organized manner.
- Collects, monitors, reports, and communicates all site materials receiving’s and documentation with Purchasing and creates and manages all site issued POs for vendor orders and expenses.
- Liaison with Quality, Site Management, Cost Control team, as required.
- Ensure that all safety rules/regulations are followed.
- Ensure compliance with all required procedures and instructions
- Other such duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a variety of people in a professional manner;
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
- Software experience such as: FishBowl, SAP, ERP Systems, MRP, MRR, WMS is preferred
- Proficient and experience with Microsoft: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Limple software
· Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics at construction sites.
- Ability to deal effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Excellent organization skills with a high attention to detail and problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; negotiating and conflict resolution skills are an asset.
