The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy #407, located in the Golden Mile mall in Regina, is looking for a full-time, experienced, enthusiastic pharmacy technician/ assistant, to assist with the technical functions of dispensing medications, to participate in the daily operations of the front store, and to provide exceptional customer service to our patients.

Requirements for successful candidates:

· Passion for the profession of pharmacy and patient care

·1 year pharmacy experience, at minimum. Exceptions will not be considered at this time.

· Accuracy with data entry and filling of prescriptions

· Functioning knowledge of insurance plans and experience with third party billing

· Experience with blister packing

· Experience with over the counter inventory management: ordering, pricing and stocking shelves

· Maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service

· Efficient verbal and written communication skills

· Experience with non-sterile compounding is an asset

Responsibilities Include:

· Greet patients promptly and gather information effectively

· Refer to the pharmacist for all clinical inquiries, including but not limited to questions related to medication purpose, OTC product selection, diseases and conditions, professional fees and other inquiries as required by law

· Adhere to confidentiality regulations and privacy requirements

· Answering phone calls, assisting patients with prescription refills, booking vaccine appointments, or taking messages for the pharmacist, as required

· Handle cash and point of sale

· Maintaining a sanitary environment for staff and patients

· Maintaining appropriate stock levels of pharmacy supplies, including vials, prescription labels or advising manager as needed

Salary will be negotiated based on education, training and experience.
