Position Overview

We require a permanent Full-Time Laundry Driver that will be assisting linen and towel deliveries to all Basecamp properties. There will be some duties that are required to be done daily and others that only are needed on a case-by-case situation. A strong, motivated team is already in place, and we are looking for the same drive and commitment.

Salary: $18.00-$19.50 per hour

Part-time Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

- Supplying Houseperson with linens from main laundry for delivery to housekeeping storage rooms and at times assisting with the delivery.
- Responsible for all linen and towel inventories.
- Work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors and Housekeeping Manager to ensure inventory for each property is properly stocked.
- Ensure that time is directed at stained and reclaim inventories. Helping to extend the life of the products.
- Remove and record damaged product each week and report to the Laundry Supervisor or Director of Operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness of laundry.
- Maintain clean floors in the laundry room.
- Washing and cleaning of all linen’s bags and transport containers.
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicle.
- Wash, sort, and fold.
- Wash and dry linens and towels in an efficient and organized manner to best support the needs of multiple properties.
- Package linens in transport bins in such a way as to expedite the stocking of items upon delivery.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Ensure laundry chemicals are stocked up and are dispensing correctly throughout each shift.

Skills and Experience

- Must have the mobility to climb stairs throughout the day and be able to lift 40lb.
- Experience in laundry duties.

Requirements

- Must have a Canadian driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Must have 3 years of driving experience in Canada.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts a week.
