First General Services is looking for an experienced painter to join our team.
Major Duties:
- Paint walls, ceiling, trim, concrete, and other surfaces as instructed
- Preparing walls and other surfaces for paint by sanding, stripping, and scraping
- Purchase painting and other materials from local suppliers as needed
- Apply spray and roll-on sealers when required
- Make on-site preparations such as set-up on scaffolding, covering appliances, and masking
- Perform various other construction-related duties as needed
- Perform job site housekeeping as needed
- Submit accurate timesheets on a daily basis
- Ensure proper procedures are followed when purchasing materials
- Perform job functions ensuring the customers and their properties are respected
- If applicable, ensure the assigned vehicle is kept in a safe and presentable condition
- Immediately refer any customer or job issues to the appropriate Project Manager
- Available for inclusion in the after-hours rotation
- Advise the General Manager or Project Manager of any variances to our normal processes and procedures.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improved service and efficiency.
Experience and Skills Required:
- 3 years minimum prior painting experience
- Prior paint sprayer experience an asset
- Working knowledge of construction processes and procedures
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Health & Safety Act and WHMIS
- Valid Class G or higher driver’s license
- Clean criminal background check
- Working @ Heights training
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

- G-class drivers license (required)
- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
