As part of our client projects, CGI is looking for a Junior Oracle and PeopleSoft Application Developer Duties and Responsibilities
Qualities required to succeed in this role
What should I expect? The New Graduate Program is designed to help participants enhance their skills and explore their career interests through hands-on experience and mentoring, and to help them develop core competencies and technical skills. During this two-year period, you will have access to: - Professional development sessions - Networking events with colleagues and leaders - Structured hands-on training - Coaching and mentoring of leaders and colleagues to establish and achieve your professional goals

How do I know if I qualify? - You are a student graduating this year - You have graduated from a post-secondary institution within the last 12 months - You have less than 16 months of relevant work experience, including internships and co-ops - You are enthusiastic, adaptable, passionate about business technology and have strong communication and problem-solving skills
When should I apply? There are two start dates for students to graduate in the winter or spring.
Winter Cohort starting in January - You will be able to apply from mid-September to mid-October.
Summer Cohort starting in June - You can apply from mid-January to mid-March.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As part of our client projects, CGI is looking for a Junior Oracle and PeopleSoft Application Developer Duties and Responsibilities
- Write technical documents associated with the programming performed, perform unit testing - Translate design specifications into executable, reusable and scalable code;
- Code, test and document product development;
- Provide work estimates and participate in meetings with colleagues to discuss progress and obstacles;
- Choose appropriate technical options for development;
- Optimize application development, maintenance and performance by following design patterns and reusing proven solution elements;
- Perform unit testing, integration testing and participate in various test campaigns as required;
- Participate in the resolution of incidents and problems encountered by users;
- Develop and execute test procedures on applications to ensure compliance with design specifications and optimal operation;
- Participate in other development, quality control and incident management activities as required by each project.
Qualities required to succeed in this role
- Willingness to learn new technologies and applications (i.e. Have a university degree in computer science or management, or any combination of relevant experience and training
- Excellent command of French and English, both verbally and in writing
- Minutia and speed of execution
- Autonomy and initiative
