What you'll do:
As a Student for Merchandising team under the SportChek banner, you will play a direct role in connecting Canadians with the products they need. You will be at the hub of our retail organization, supporting the Category Business Manager and the Category Business Analyst in creating compelling and relevant assortments for our stores through robust analysis and key insights that strengthen the brand with our customers, and deliver against the category level objectives and financial goals.
- Work with the Category Manager and Category Business Analyst to deliver on our Key Performance Objectives.
- Create styles, write, and track purchase orders for assortments.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the Day-to-Day of the Business
- Participate in meetings and strategy sessions
What you'll bring:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline
- Retail Experience considered to be an asset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to analyze financial and marketing data, think strategically, develop resourceful solutions and turn ideas into action in order to drive sales and profit
- Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge
- Creative thinker who is observant to seek new opportunities and perceptive to abstract ideas
