A great flexible role for someone who enjoys working on their own and meeting people. Compensation $15 PER ACCOUNT SERVICED. Will increase to $16 per account once 3 successful runs completed. Each account takes between 30-40 minutes INCLUDING drive time. Total is between $7-7.5 k per year. As an independent contractor, you are eligible for significant tax deductions i.e. cell phone, car mileage, home office use, etc.

Seeking reliable, organized and trustworthy greeting card merchandiser for Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, Woodstock, London, St. Thomas, Brantford, and the areas in between. This position requires 6-7 days of work servicing approximately 70 accounts, 7 times a year on a predetermined schedule. Time is somewhat flexible but will require 6-7 full days of work in a 14-16 day period (the 6-7 days can be spread out to cover the two week period if you wish). The assignment must be completed in allocated two week period. We prefer someone with an entrepreneurial spirit. The role could expand into a full distributor for the right candidate

Requirements

• Must be reliable, organized, friendly and good communicator
• Must have own reliable vehicle, small SUV or Van preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently with no direct supervision
• This is an independent contractor position which provides you the tax benefits of your own business
• Must enjoy physical work (not demanding but some lifting/carrying and walking)
• Must live within the assigned territories (Preferably K/W, Cambridge, Brantford area)
• Experience preferred but not necessary -- we hire for attitude and train for aptitude
• Must have space to keep boxes (during the two-week service run only) in dry, cool, and easily accessible location (garage, sunroom, etc.), no second floor or above due to delivery logistics. Only requires about 10 square feet.

Responsibilities:

To maximize retail sales from a designated territory by providing courteous and timely customer service, following planogram layouts and maintaining clean stands and inventory.

• Correctly and efficiently complete the required paperwork and financial transactions to ensure the smooth operation of company procedures.
• Visit accounts on a pre-determined schedule, with routing that minimizes travel and time to complete.
• Introduce yourself to the owner or employee on duty
• Tidy and clean Stand and cards to properly count a number of cards sold.
• Count cards sold from the stand and advise owner/employee.
• List cards to be filled in the stand and pull from car stock given to you.
• Verify stand has been replenished with a correct number of cards.
• Invoice owner/employee for cards sold and collect payment. Complete paperwork in the file.
• List payment on Cash Collection Sheet when you have returned to the car.
• Keep boxes of stock organized and neat
• Open or close accounts as required.
• Complete Invoice for services for Riverside Cards.
• Each account takes on average 30-40 minutes INCLUDING drive time
• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested
