Medical Radiation Technologist - Part Time N22-17

Primary Duties

• Performs radiographic examinations, general X-ray and CT.
• Mammography and BMD experience an asset.

Education & Experience

• Current Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario

(CMRITO)

• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Certification
• Current BCLS certification
• Demonstrated experience in general radiology and CT
• Experience with Epic CIS is an asset

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work with patients independently and identify urgent medical indicators within the scope of practice and have the ability to alert the physician of urgent patient conditions that could affect treatment or further testing
• Computer skills, Microsoft Office, PACs, appropriate platforms and reporting software
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, staff and physicians
• Demonstrates an understanding of ethical behaviours and confidentiality requirements in a health care institution
• This position requires availability for day, evening, weekend and on-call shifts
