Our well-established Oakville area client, a food processing facility in operation for more than 150 years has an immediate need for an experienced Material Handlers with Counterbalance, Reach and Walkie certifications to work in their busy facility.

Shifts: 3pm - 11pm with overtime available

Qualifications:

• Valid counterbalance, walkie & reach certification
• Ability to use (RF) radio frequency scanner
• Minimum of 1 year previous experience
• Willing to work overtime

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:
• Always using the required personal protective equipment
• Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
• Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
• Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
• Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
• Perform loading and off-loading functions of trailers and/or warehouse transfers
• Ensure loading of quality finished product with no visible non-conformities for all customers and/or transfer orders
• Responsible for accurate inventory and reporting all discrepancies
• Communicate any deviations of the loading/unloading schedule to the Operations Supervisor or Logistics Coordinator
• Perform all aspects of computerized bills of lading
• Perform physical counts of inventory as directed
