THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Maintenance Technician (RS/JM Preferred) will be responsible for the safe and efficient repair, as well as preventative maintenance of rotating and stationary equipment at our Big Molly Site. The successful hire will be required to provide direct guidance and support to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: production, operating cost, corporate values, environment, health and safety, training, regulatory and emergency response.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute and support co-workers on scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on both rotating equipment and stationary equipment
• Collaborate with Maintenance Team to enhance equipment reliability and then develop, implement and update preventative maintenance procedures
• Maintain a high level of communication on work executed with Operations and Maintenance
• Support Wayfinder objectives to meet their goals as a low emission and low-cost producer
• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, diagnose mechanical issues and correcting them, repair machines and equipment, ensure work areas are cleaned and organized
• Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Alberta Journeyman / Red Seal Certificate (Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic)
• Strong 3rd year apprentices would be considered
• Full Class 5 Drivers (Non-GDL) with a clean abstract
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools; such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Experience performing routine maintenance on both stationary and rotating equipment
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machines and equipment, experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to follow up assigned tasks to ensure they are completed within set targets and expectations
• Individuals with mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial experience are encouraged to apply!
