Experience
- 3 Years health & safety
- 3-5 years in field oilfield experience
- Administrating Digital Action Tracking System (DATS) - Preferred

Authorities
- Ensure the HSE, SDS, and all job-related digital documents are up to date in the DATS Library.
- Maintain current knowledge of safety literature, legislation, regulations and codes of practices and new safety updates.
- Ensure all statistics are collected on a monthly/quarterly basis which includes vehicle kilometers, speeding infractions, employee hours, hazard ID and incident reports, training stats etc.
- Ensure all current and required documentation is uploaded into ISNetworld, Avetta, Comply Works and any other related compliance sites.
- Create in DATS and host monthly safety meetings and routinely inform employees of HS updates.
Duties
- Ensure onboarding documentation is obtained from workers and subcontractors (i.e.: Driver Abstracts, insurance & registration of trucks if applicable, tickets). Supply new workers with On-the-Job Training documents. Add workers to DATS system and assign required training and requirements specific to their role with the company.
- Conduct pre-qualification checks of sub-contractors and requesting clients and obtain all clearances and insurances for Highmark Oilfield Services.
- Ensure all orientations, rules, and policies are communicated to contractors and tickets and records are maintained and filed.
- Provide HS and general orientation for workers and subcontractors before they are dispatched to the job.
- Administrate employee records & ticket certification information for all workers to ensure qualifications to perform their job duties.
- Ensure all employees have access to current client and 3rd party company orientations via DATS.
- Facilitate the education and training, either in-house or an accredited 3rd party, of employees of all levels, including subcontractors.
- Schedule drug and alcohol testing for employees at all levels as required.
- Responsible for daily administration of safety program. Draft new policies, support documents and forms for management approval.
- Maintain DATS filing system for all reports and health & safety information. Review submitted forms for all departments.
- Maintain injury and medical reports from employees in DATS and link with first aid reports and any investigations.
- Review and analyze submitted field safety documents for systems compliance and improvement.
- Ensure the health and safety standards of clients are being met and exceeded when possible. Inform Management of changes.
- Ensure monthly Emergency Response Equipment inspections are completed monthly including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, AEDs and first aid kits. Ensure equipment is in place, functioning, maintained and all supplies are replaced when needed.
- Preform various inspections including field site inspections, shop inspections.
- Ensure all workers driver’s licenses are in good standing by requesting and reviewing NSC driver’s abstracts from ICBC bi-annually.
- Lead and or assist in accident & incident investigations, including near misses, unsafe work refusals, bullying and harassment reports.
- Review incident and accident reports to identify company health and safety performance trends.
- Act as a liaison between Highmark Industries and WorkSafeBC, Oil & Gas Commission for internal and external business matters.
- Perform internal Certificate of Recognition maintenance audits through Energy Safety Canada. Coordinate external COR audits

Salary: $53,613.00-$61,341.00 per year
