The Position

Reporting to the Building and Grounds Manager, the incumbent will perform varies duties related to the building and grounds department including the area. This is a full-time of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

· Upkeep of playing fields, walkways, parking lots, and grounds

Flood and maintain ice in arena

· Snow removal and sanding/salting

· Storage and maintenance of stock and equipment

· Set up for special events including sporting events, examinations and graduation

· Use heavy equipment when required

· Work in collaboration with team members on general duties

· Part of the emergency response team

Qualifications, Education and Experience

· Highschool diploma

· 1-3 years relevant experience in grounds maintenance

· Valid driver’s license

- Knowledge of operating tractors, trucks

· Bilingualism an asset

- Initiative and good organizational skills are essential

· Ability to relate well to colleagues, students and the BCS community

· A sense of pride in the work environment is crucial
