Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst will forecast revenues and expenditures and advise on budgeting. The role supports the reporting of TCHC’s and its subsidiaries' financial results, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures. This role will also be responsible for the timely and accurate internal and external reporting and will ensure the integrity, reliability, timeliness and accuracy of financial data, reports and analysis.
What you'll do
- Prepare development draws for various projects.
- Prepare corporate journal entries for relevant accounting issues.
- Prepare monthly schedule of development costs, gain on sale of land, project costs and joint ventures (JV) income.
- Prepare and analyze cost projections and cost allocations.
- Provide analysis and additional reports in a timely manner to stakeholders, as required.
- Compare anticipated and actual results and prepare variance analysis.
- Perform variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Participate in budgeting process by maintaining data relating to development projects.
- Other accounting, tax, bank deposits, invoices and tasks as may be assigned by Manager.
What you'll need
- University degree in business, commerce or finance
- Pursuing or close to completion a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA)
- 2 + years financial accounting and reporting experience – candidates with experience in development accounting will be preferred.
- Must possess advanced level Microsoft Excel skills related to financial reporting and understanding of ERP system (preferably Yardi).
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of Federal and Provincial financial regulations
- Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills

This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.
