About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for the safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations of the Hardisty oil storage and blending facility. The role will interface with the Lloydminster Control room personnel, midstream engineering staff, construction, service companies, third party shippers and maintenance personnel. This position is within our Husky Midstream General Partnership group (HMGP).

Responsibilities
  • Initiate notifications and follow up on work order completion with maintenance group to sustain operations.
  • Operate the facility in a safe and effective manner, while working collaboratively as part of the operating team.
  • Provide notifications to the area supervisor of operating cost impacts and if required support effective solutions to mitigate impacts.
  • Perform daily site inspections, complete area logs and records (e.g., volume balances, log sheets, work permits and hazard assessments)
  • Support operations performed maintenance activities, support maintenance contractors and vendors by communicating HMGP requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete the applicable modules for the CAP-O program.
  • Ensure appropriate operating procedures are reviewed and adhered to, complete reviews and provide feedback on procedures based on the assigned review cycle.
  • Work closely with other areas of the business unit. (Maintenance, Engineering, product movement etc.).
Deliverables:
  • SCE (Safety Critical Element) inspections and checks are completed and uploaded in HDMS in a timely matter. Enter any notifications on issues found.
  • Regulator & Compliance inspections and checks are completed and uploaded in a timely matter. Enter notifications on any Issues found.
  • Operational rounds and facility checks are completed daily.
  • Product quality verifications and witnessing of incoming and outgoing product batches.
  • Tank gauging and headspace sampling of all terminal tankage.
  • Product sampling and organizing shipments of samples to the Labs. (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly)
  • Ensuring all safety tickets and CAP-O items are up to date.
  • Daily usage of SAP for inputting notifications, updating, and closing out of the work orders. requesting PO’s to be generated.
  • Entering and managing Intelex items for any safety incident. Also, inputting audit and inspections as well plus developing the actions that come out of these items.
  • Assisting the Lloyd Control Room with any issues they have in the terminal.
  • Housekeeping to be top notch throughout all three campuses and work areas and buildings in the terminal.
  • Assist and troubleshoot facility balances with the measurement group
  • Develop and execute work plans for small and big work outages. (Build the isolation, drain down, LOTO plans, and procedures). There is the possibility that you may run the tasks as well.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Secondary technical diploma or Journeyman certification in electrical, mechanical or Instrumentation are considered an asset
  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • A minimum of 1-7 years’ experience in operations of crude oil storage and blending facilities and all associated processes and systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft excel, work, outlook, etc.
  • Experience working with SAP
