We are growing and are looking for an experienced FACILITIES MANAGER based in West Kelowna & Osoyoos, to join the Frind Team. If you have the following experience, please submit your resume today!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general carpentry

• Prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance

• Continuously review operating costs and processes and proactively identify and implement efficiencies

• Conduct weekly job site inspections and monitor employee’s efficiency

• Ensure cleanliness of spaces

• Communicate with suppliers and job site labourers throughout each project to prevent and solve workplace issues

• Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of labourers and maintenance staff

• Utilize approved outside contractors for larger jobs

• Uphold correct inventory for supplies and tools

• Track all material and tool expenses

• Keep accurate records of all building activities

• Manage and maintain sparkling bottling line and building equipment

• Negotiate contracts for building services

• Ensure all building systems are functioning properly and efficiently

• Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the warehouse operations to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility ie. leasing

• Ensure employee and visitor safety at all times

• Manage security and fire prevention

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to the buildings and facilities

• Tracking and reviewing employee hours

• Supervise outsourced Janitorial Services

• Maintain building aesthetics

• Ensure compliance with provincial safety regulations

• Develop and implement emergency procedures for power outages

• Partake in the Joint Health & Safety Committee

Skills:

• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and building codes

• Ability to create and adhere to budgets

• Interpersonal skills required to act as bottling line and storage space ‘leasing agent’

• Ability to communicate on an on-going basis and motivate team to perform to their maximum level of productivity

• Strong time management skills

Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Minimum 8 years experience working in a building management, property management of related field

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role

• Valid Drivers License

• Ability to travel regularly between locations in West Kelowna and Osoyoos

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Basic Health & Safety knowledge (WCB & WHMIS)

• Basic understanding of legislation governing Landlord and Tenant Relations

• Good physical condition
